LULU’S FAVOURITE TOY

favourite toy

Last Christmas a friend gave Lulu a plastic turkey.  She loves it so much that even though it’s now full of holes and rather grubby she takes it everywhere including to bed with her.

So we decided to get her another one to take on her holidays.  Which saves having to take the old one with us and risking leaving it behind.

With both of them she was not happy until she had chewed the head off and bitten the squeaker out of its bottom.

We were not upset about seeing the disappearance of the squeaker – into the dustbin – it made an incredibly loud and shrill squeak !!

(Some would say, with friends like that, who needs……..)

  1. Someone this week posted a video of their dog squeaking his rubber chicken - his very favorite toy EVER. The chicken is put away now, because it's so annoying! I'll send the link when I can find it. Lulu, you look lovely as always. YOU can make even a rubber turkey look elegant!!

    1. Rottrover, the thing is, I was sure it was the loudness of the squeak and the difficulty in removing it that made Lulu so fond of this toy. But the lack of squeak doesn't seem to matter. She still prefers it to all her others.

  2. Ha ha I know what that squeaker is like. One of our dogs in S.Africa loved to just sit and squeak while the other hated it. He used to grab it at the fist opportunity and much to the disgust of the other one the squeaker was removed LOL. Diane

    1. Diane, these turkeys should be supplied with earplugs for the dog owners !!

  3. The first thing Mortimer does is remove the squeak. But what is it with toys, some he has had since a puppy yet others are destroyed within minutes.

    1. Sharon, same here, I have no logical explanation - it must be a dog thing.
