LIVING IN A CARDBOARD BOX

When Lulu first came to live with us she was so small that she had a cardboard box as a bed. We also used it to transport her in the car so she didn't roll around too much in the boot. She loved that box. Eventually she outgrew it and starting chewing it to bits. When there was hardly anything left of it we put the debris in the dustbin.

FIRST HAIR-DO

Standard poodles are fairly high-maintenance.
Lulu goes to the hairdresser for a cut and shampoo every 5-6 weeks.
Apparently she is not an easy client.
She wriggles and complains a lot.
In this picture she was 4 months old.

MORE PLEASE

Lulu has always had a good appetite.
In this photo she is just two months old.

BEST FOOT FORWARD

Yes, definitely a poodle now.

ARE YOU SURE IT'S A POODLE ?

Lulu didn't look much like a standard poodle when we first got her. No curly coat, no long nose.
Luckily I had a book about standard poodles and in it were pictures of puppies. So I knew she would gradually become a poodle after all.
Lots of people had their doubts, though.

QUIET PLEASE, I'M GROWING

When Lulu first arrived she occupied barely one seat on the sofa.
We would joke that every time she slept she grew bit.
Little did we know....

TRAINING, MOI ?

Lulu regarded her training as a great challenge. And a big yawn.
